Job Title: WNT Studio Assistant

Pay: £2,000
Hours: Generally Monday to Thursday (one week is Tues-Fri) between 9am and 5pm (start and end times my vary)
Contract: Fixed-term, 5 weeks.
About The Project
Welsh National Theatre is running a special residency in partnership with Swansea Council, based at the Civic Centre. Over six weeks, we’ll be bringing together commissioned writers, actors, producers, and directors to help new pieces of work develop and take shape.
We’re looking for a WNT Studio Assistant to support the Studio Director and Associate to help make the project run smoothly day-to-day. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone local to Swansea who’s keen to gain experience working with a national theatre company and get hands-on behind the scenes of a creative project.
Key Responsibilities
Support the WNT Studio Director/Associate and visiting artists with the smooth running of sessions and workshops.
Assist with day-to-day coordination — such as setting up rooms, printing scripts, managing schedules, and running small errands.
Welcome artists and guests to the Civic Centre, helping create a friendly and supportive environment.
Provide general administrative and practical support as needed.
Assist with short local runs or pick-ups for materials or participants.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
Lives in or near Swansea.
Experience with admin
Is enthusiastic, reliable, and enjoys working with people.
Has good organisational and communication skills.
Can take initiative and work well as part of a team.
Is interested in theatre, creativity, and supporting artists.
Has a valid UK driving licence and access to a car
