Dame Siân Phillips returns to the Welsh stage in 2027 in Samuel Beckett’s Rockaby, presented alongside Not I and Footfalls in a new production directed by Richard Beecham. The acclaimed Welsh actor, now 93, reunites with Beckett’s work in a production that will tour Wales and beyond, with further casting to be announced.
Following a sold-out tour of Wales, We’ll be taking My Mix(ed up) Tape to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2027 in a co production with Wales’ New writing theatre company Dirty protest. Written and performed by Katie Payne and directed by Stef O’Driscoll, this acclaimed co-production is a funny, fierce and music-filled journey through a chaotic Valleys wedding, exploring identity, class and belonging in modern Wales.
Frank Vickery’s much-loved Valleys wedding comedy A Night on the Tiles returns in spring 2028 in a co-production with RCT Theatres. First staged in 1987 and developed through Welsh National Theatre’s recent Studio, the revival marks 10 years since the Treorchy-born playwright’s death and celebrates one of Wales’ most cherished theatrical voices.
